Sara is bicultural in English and Portuguese, having been born in Lisbon but raised in the USA (Arizona and Michigan). Throughout her life she has lived in several countries, keeping Portugal as a base in-between and Comporta as her family's Portuguese summer destination, since the 90's. The moments spent in Comporta throughout three decades, triggered the immense love she has for the region that taught her how to ride horses and play golf, but above all appreciate the "slow life" and uniqueness of the region's nature.

Despite her academic background in architecture and fashion design, most of her professional career was spent in the Middle East. There she worked in marketing and event planning for a multinational government advisory company and the biggest sharia compliant real estate investment fund of the MENA region, which provided Sara with a vast cultural knowledge in the international market.
 
In 2017, when Portugal was gaining more international attention and the economy was finally recovering from a long crisis, Sara decided to make a life and career change. Moving back to Portugal, bringing together her cultural and local know-how to serve foreigners visiting or relocating into the country, whom sought for a seamless, looked after and memorable stay. Comporta Spirt is born through a combination of a lifetime of experiences, immense love for Comporta and a strong desire to help its guests unravel the region's true potential.
